Can an employer take 30 minutes off someones pay for being 17 minutes late?

Yup. They can "dock" your pay for being late. The place that I work will dock you fifteen minutes if you are 8 minutes late. So. for every 8 minutes that I'm late I get 15 minutes of pay taken. If I was 16 minutes late they would dock me for a 1/2 hour
